This Porsche 996 Turbo, commonly known by its fans as 'Turbinchen', is a custom built racecar by Alzen Motorsport solely for the VLN championship at the Nuerburgring Nordschleife.
Constantly being developed during its time of operation (2003 to 2005) this car combined the chassis of a normal street car 996 Turbo with a 911 GT1 derived 3.6 twinturbo engine and a GT1 inspired race body kit from DP Motorsports, driving both massive rear wheels through a manual H-shifted gearbox.
Beating even factory DTM teams from Opel and Audi by 10 seconds around the 'Ring during qualification, only its equally as monstrous fuel consumption and reliability issues prevented this car from ever outright winning the 24h race.
This interpretation of the early incarnation offers the most power, but controlling all of it going through the rear tires only require 100% dedication of the driver.
